Excerpts from obituary published in San Diego Union-Tribune on 12/20/2013:

Vivean J. (Sharp) Peller, 89, of San Diego, died November 30.  She was born in South Dakota, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, graduated from South Dakota State University in Social Work and spent most of her life as a wife and mother.  Survivors include her daughter and son, and two grandsons.  Services with full military honors will be held on December 23 at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego.
