Anthony Christopher DelVecchio was born in Santa Clara, California, on September 14, 1966, and moved to Carson City, Nevada, as a teenager.  Anthony’s life was dedicated to serving his country.  He joined the Navy in 1986 at the age of 20 and in 1991 he began his career as a Navy SEAL.  He was assigned to SEAL Team 5 until 1996 when he became a Naval Special Warfare Instructor.  In 1999 he was assigned to SEAL Team 4 where he served until 2001 when he started as Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL Instructor (BUD/S) where he served until 2003.  In 2003 he joined the Navy Parachute Team “The Leap Frogs” until his retirement in 2006.  Since 2006 he has served overseas as a mobile security officer with SOC, LLC.  Being a Navy SEAL was DelVecchio’s most proud accomplishment.  His wife was the love of his life and as much difficulty as his military service brought him relationally, it is what he was made to do.  He has been described as a man who would have laid down his life for his brothers without a second thought.  To his shipmates he was a real life hero.  Unfortunately he passed away at the age of 47 on March 28, 2014, of unknown causes at home with his wife.  He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
