Robert William Enghauser of Carleton, Nebraska, the son of William and Grace (White) Enghauser was born on December 18, 1927 at Creston, Iowa.  He died on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Deshler, Nebraska at the age of 85 years.

After high school, Bob joined the United States Navy and served in WWII and also in Korea. After being honorably discharged he came to Carleton, Nebraska and started Enghauser Service, where he repaired autos, sold tires, and welded. He was still selling tires and mounting them in his 80's.

He was a member of the Carleton American Legion and V.F.W. in Davenport, Nebraska.  He was proud that he was able to serve his country and continued those ethics throughout his life.  He liked to work in his shop, making things out of scraps and fixing everybody's everything.  Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, auctions, spending time outdoors, always enjoyed telling stories, jokes, and Engism's and especially spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sons; Randy Needham and wife Jean, and Terry Enghauser and wife Vicki, two daughters; Dee Burns and husband Tom, Susie Elting and husband Kurtis, brother Charles Enghauser and wife Joyce, sister Midge Scurlock, six grandchildren; Julie Enghauser and husband Alfonso, Jennifer Enghauser, Jason Enghauser and wife Wendy, Angie Burns, Reuben Elting and Anna Sell, Remington Elting and Megan Boatman, nine great-grandchildren; Rushea, Devante, Justin, Haley, Alfonso Jr, Samantha, Alexis, Mikey and Kourtney, nieces, nephews and friends.

His remains are resting Carleton Cemetery, Hebron Nebraska.
