Joined the Navy at 17 years old and fought in WWII. On, November 12th 1942, survived the hit, on the USS Hugh L. Scott, by a U-boat, one of the 51 men that survived. Also, was on the USS Starlight where he participated in the Invasion of Guam, Leyte, Luzon and the Amphibious Assault Operations.  At the time of his death in 1973, he was survived by -  wife Lucretia Genevrino, sons Anthony and John and daughter Lucretia Genevrino.
