GM2c Robert Edwin Kline joined the United States Navy October 13, 1937 at the age of 17, and served until his death just four years later during the attack on Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941.  He served on the USS Arizona after graduating from the Newport Rhode Island Naval Training Station.  His remains were never recovered and he is entombed within the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor, Hi. While Robert was born in Emporium, PA, his homestate was New York.
