LONGNECKER-KENNETH

Kenneth William Longnecker was born on October 16, 1922, in Erie, Pennsylvania.  Following graduation from Academy High School in Erie where he excelled in sports, he entered the U.S. Naval Academy.  He graduated from the Academy in 1945 and the same year he married Phyllis Barton, also a graduate of Academy High School.  Longnecker served in the Navy for 25 years and said he loved every minute.  He died on October 31, 2014, and is survived by his wife and son.  He has been buried at Singing Hills Cemetery in El Cajon, California.
