Kamikaze Attack off Okinawa
In May 1945 she rejoined TF 58 to provide fire support for forces on Okinawa. On 5 June another Kamikaze attack caused minor damage to the ship killing one sailor and injuring 59. After temporary repairs by the crew she was able to continue her fire support mission until relieved on 15 June.
