OBITUARY OF PETER MATURO

Peter Maturo, 65, of Clinton passed away January 1, 2021 at Middlesex Hospital. He was born July 16, 1955 in New Haven to Rocco and Virginia (DeSchepper) Maturo. Peter is survived by his son, Peter Jr. (Jennifer) of Middletown and two grandchildren, Andrew and Maya Maturo. He is also survived by his five brothers, Alfred Maturo (Betty) of Guilford, Edward Maturo of Byron, GA., Thomas Maturo (Chris) of Florida, William Maturo of Cheshire and Robert Maturo (Donna) of East Haven along with numerous nieces/nephews. Peter is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Wannetta (Andrews) Maturo (2018). Pete grew up in East Haven and New Haven. He attended High School in the Community in New Haven prior to entering the U.S. Navy. He will be remembered for his love of his wife, son and grandkids. He retired as a technician from ADT. He was an awesome cook who grew a lot of good things in his garden and cooked them in his large collection of cast iron cookware. Pete also loved going to listen and support many local bands. All services are private with the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private. A celebration of Peter’s life to follow at a later date when Covid restrictions end.
