SUBMIT A PHOTO
You can add them to the Navy Log in three ways:
1. Directly upload a digital photo in JPEG (.jpg) format under “EDIT THIS LOG” tab on the Log page. Online Submission is STRONGLY PREFERRED.
2. E-mail a digital photo in JPEG (.jpg) format to navylog@navymemorial.org. Please allow 1 business days for the photo to show in the Navy Log.
3. Send a copy by U.S. Mail to the address shown at the bottom of the page. If you want the photo back, you MUST include a return envelope with a prepaid stamp. Please allow 10 to 15 business days for the photo to show in the Navy Log. Please include following in the mail: (1) Full name of person in photo, (2) Place where photo was taken, and (3) Year photo was taken.
SUBMIT SERVICE MEMORIES
Reflections of war or peacetime service are accepted. These accounts may be typed or hand written accounts, photos, biographies, anecdotes, sea stories, poems, or even prayers. You can add them to the Navy Log in four ways:
1. Scan and convert the written service memory into digital photos in JPEG (.jpg) format. You can directly upload the JPEG files under “EDIT THIS LOG” tab on the Log page by clicking on the UPLOAD FILE button at the “Add a Service Memory” box. Online Submission is STRONGLY PREFERRED.
2. Type your Service Memory at the “Add a Service Memory” box
2. You can e-mail a digital copy to navylog@navymemorial.org. Please allow 2 business days for the photo to show in the Navy Log.
3. You can send a copy of the Service Memory by U.S. mail to the address shown below. If you want the Service Memories back, you MUST include a return envelope with a prepaid stamp. Please allow 10 to 15 business days for the Memories to show in the Navy Log. Please include identification of the Memory, including full name, birth date, and rate/rank.
