William F. “Bill” Jackson was born on July 3, 1921, in Jersey City, New Jersey, the youngest of seven children.  He served during World War II on a Navy Submarine.  He was a hard working man retiring after 39 years as a pressman for the Union Tribune Publishing Company in San Diego.  Bill loved adventure, the outdoors, traveling and meeting new people along the way; he never knew a stranger.  He was a friend to all and will not be forgotten.  He is survived by his wife, six children, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great- great granddaughters.  He has been laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego.
