Join the Navy and see the World -- Some of my favorite moments.

The Northern Lights in Iceland; The snow covered floating Mount Fuji when approaching Tokyo Bay;  In Saigon, hundreds of young Vietnamese women slowly and gracefully riding their bicycles at noon in flowing silk;  All alone at the Sphinx outside Cairo (not Vegas);  Diving in crystal clear water with miles of empty beaches during a tour of duty home ported and ashore in Okinawa, even the sea snakes were interesting; A tour through to the base of Gibraltar just to see its water source;  Reopening the Suez Canal on the COMSIXTHFLT Flagship in 1976 with neatly sliced and stacked merchant ships reassembled ashore;  Pompeii and Herculaneum plus seeing Bradyism in action at Pozzuoli and Campi Flegrei; and, the power of a Summer Storm underway in the Bering Sea.  Unbelievable.
