Bridgewater, Westwood, Sudbury and Cambridge.  Bob joined the Navy in 1949, rising to the rank of Chief Yeoman.  His 20-year career included service on seven ships and an Antisubmarine Squadron.  Following his Navy career he worked for Sears, the County of San Diego, and the San Diego Community College District, retiring for good in 1993.  He is survived by his wife of 37-years, four daughters, two stepchildren, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Following a military honors service, Bob’s ashes were interred at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego where his memorial marker carries the inscription:  YNC – US NAVY – KOREA & VIETNAM.
