U-Boat Attack off Cape Hatteras
The Freighter SS Norvana was torpedoed by U 66 off the coast of North Caroline while en route to Philadelphia. The ship was unarmed and un escorted and nothing was ever heard from the ship again. Information on her sinking was obtained from the U-boat's records.
