Attack by two U-Boats
The Tanker SS Oregon was shelled by two submarines while en route from Aruba to Rhode Island. The ship was shelled continously until she caught fire and sank four hours after the shelling started. The crew was fired upon by the submarines and one survivor reported an attempt by one boat to run him over.
