WILLIAM THOMAS POOLE JR.

William Thomas Poole Jr. was born June 27, 1913. During World War II he served in the Navy and was principally aboard ships in the Pacific Theater. In January 1948 he commenced employment as a Special Agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence and was assigned to the District Intelligence Office, San Diego. The organization in which he worked became the Naval Investigative Service in 1966 and he continued employment until August 1, 1968, when he retired having attained twenty-three years of Federal service. At the time of his retirement, he was assigned as the Assistant Supervising Agent, Naval Investigative Service Office, San Diego. Concurrent with his employment he was active in the Naval Intelligence Reserve Program from which he retired in August 1966 with the rank of Captain. He died April 29, 2004, and is interred at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego.
