Thomas H. Stanley, 64, of Lincoln, Nebraska died on July 16, 2013.  He had graduated from Nebraska City High School and served in the US Navy on the USS Swordfish during the Vietnam War. He then taught at the Submarine Electronics School in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  He graduated in 1984 from the University of Iowa with economics and political science degrees.  He then attended the University of Nebraska Law School.   Thomas had served as the building supervisor at First United Methodist Church for 26 years.  The great loves of his life were his son, Nick, his church family, the Nebraska Huskers, and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He was preceded in death by his father, Judge George Stanley; his mother, Margaret; a brother, Roger. He is survived by his son, Nick; a brother, Kelly; and a niece, Kate.  He is resting in Wyuka Cemetary, Nebraska City.
