U-Boat Attack Near Curacao
USS Erie was torpedoed off Curacao, Netherlands Antilles and was beached to prevent sinking. After being towed from Curaco to Willenstadt, Netherlands Antilles the Erie capsized and sank; Struck from the Naval Register, July 28 1943.
